Ways to Support

How many moments of discovery will you help to create?

FY24 Appeal GraphicLike the painter with a brush, a performer about to take the stage, a student with a blank sheet of paper, your gift today can create a world of possibilities.

  • Students at every age & stage of life are guided by expert instructors to express their unique perspective and spirit in whatever medium they choose.
  • Audience members & performers come together in our state-of-the-art facilities to consider the world from new perspectives and share the power and joy of live performance.
  • 50+ Studio Artists, Guest Artists, & Artists-in-Residence fill our galleries and studios with beautiful, thought-provoking work.

The Umbrella Arts Center encourages every member of our community to discover YOUR art — to be inspired, to create, and to spark that discovery in others.

The Umbrella is YOUR arts center! And we need your support to continue to thrive.

More Ways to Give

Donate through a Corporate/Employer Matching Gift Program

Many companies and employers have matching-gift programs, doubling (or in some cases even tripling) donations their employees make to a favorite charity. The Umbrella, a non-profit arts center, is a 501(c)(3) organization and eligible for matching gift contributions. Download Information Sheet for Employer Donor/Volunteer Matching Programs

If you or your employer have any questions, please contact Katie Cimet at katie@theumbrellaarts.org

Recommend a grant from your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)

A donor-advised fund (DAF) provides donors with a centralized charitable giving vehicle. Through a donor-advised fund, you can allocate a charitable gift each year and take an immediate tax deduction. Commonly used donor-advised funds include Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, National Philanthropic Trust, and BNY Mellon, among many others. Recommend a gift to The Umbrella or contact Katie Cimet at katie@theumbrellaarts.org with any questions.

Donate a Securities Gift

The Umbrella gratefully welcomes gifts of securities, and provides guidelines and contacts to minimize delays and expenses. Download Information Sheet About Donating Securities. For help, please contact Katie Cimet at katie@theumbrellaarts.org

Make a Gift in Honor of Someone Special

The Umbrella will gladly help you target your gift for a specific purpose or as a tribute to a particular person. For help, please contact Katie Cimet at katie@theumbrellaarts.org

Support us as a Business Partner

We are pleased to work with several organizations who wish to show their committment to the arts and reach out to The Umbrella Arts community. Contact us for details about opportunities and benefits of support through our Business Partners Program.

Consider a Bequest

A bequest can be an easy and satisfying gift to make: It costs nothing now but can have enormous future impact. One of The Umbrella’s largest gifts to date was an unexpected bequest that served as the catalyst for our Building the Arts campaign! We welcome bequests of many types and all sizes. Your gift can take the form of:

  • a specific amount
  • a specific asset, such as property or securities
  • a percentage of your estate

A bequest gift may recognize a loved one or an influential artist, benefit a specific activity or program, or serve as a general and important investment in the future of the arts in our community. To learn more about making a bequest, please contact Katie Cimet at katie@theumbrellaarts.org.
