Plein Air Workshop on Monhegan Island, ME

Join a congenial, supportive group of painters on Monhegan Island for three full days of drawing and painting with instructor, Lois Andersen. Time for painting, discussion, analysis and exploration of this beautiful island. Demonstrations and group critiques will give you vital input for your work. Arrive on Sunday, June 17, depart June 21 for three full days of painting.

Just four square miles of land, Monhegan sits 10 miles off the coast of Maine. The island has been a summer haven for artists and naturalists since the 1800’s and offers rich options for artists; crashing Atlantic surf on granite cliffs, a small harbor nestled between islands and a winding dirt road populated by weathered wooden frame houses. Register and pay $25 deposit online to reserve your spot by May 31st. Remaining balance of $275 will be due on June 15th.



Instructor: Lois Andersen
Lois Andersen is a painter, illustrator and teacher for more than twenty-five years to children and adults, in private schools and community programs.
