Winter Solstice

Join the Musketaquid Arts & Environment program to celebrate the shortest day of the year, December 21, on Old Manse back lawn from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Free and open to the public, this family-friendly community gathering recognizes the longest night of the year with song, drums, hot apple cider, and s’mores, and generates warmth and spirit. Voices for the Earth ensemble will lead a singing of seasonal carols and folk songs, with song sheets provided. A candle-lit path will show the way from the parking area to the back lawn of the Manse.  In the event of rain, the Celebration moves indoors to The Umbrella Community Arts Center at 40 Stow Street. The 2014 Winter Solstice Celebration is sponsored in part by Hands-On Construction.
