Director of Development

The Umbrella Community Arts Center seeks an energetic and highly innovative professional to round out our team and to fill the open full-time position of Director of Development.  The successful candidate will assume a leadership role in all aspects of our fundraising efforts.

The Umbrella is growing and expanding; attracting more and more people to the Arts through our five programs.  Our Arts Education program registers over 1,600 students per year. 1,300 people participate in our Arts & Environment celebrations, and last year we sold 16,000 tickets to Performing Arts events. In addition, Open Studio weekends, which celebrate our 56 studio artists, bring in over 2,000 community members, and we are proud to have over 275 volunteers who contributed over 3,500 hours of service last year.

Our annual giving goals are projected to increase over the next five years as we grow programs and continue to work towards a major renovation and reconstruction of our space.  We are in the midst of a major capital campaign and have successfully achieved 60% of the goal through gifts and pledges.
